How to fix the Sound Blaster Incompatibility Issues? Download the driver for the Creative Sound Blaster Recon3D PCIe. Right click on the driver file you just downloaded. Click on Properties and then click on Compatibility tab for the driver. Locate Run this program in Compatibility mode for. This package provides Creative Sound Blaster Recon3Di Extras Driver and is supported on Alienware 15 R2/17 R3 running the following Operating Systems: Windows 10 & Windows 8.1.

None of the Sound Blaster Live products is supported on Windows 7. You may access the below link to know more about Sound Blaster Live compatibility with Windows 7.

I would suggest you to install the drivers for Sound Blaster Live in Windows Vista SP2 Compatibility mode:
1. Right click on the setup file.
Access the below link to download the Vista drivers from Creative, please select the specified model:

2. Go to properties.
3. Click on Compatibility mode.
4. Place a check mark in the box in front of “Run this program in compatibility mode for” and from the drop down menu choose Windows Vista SP2.
5. Place a check mark on 'Run as an Administrator' under privileges level and click on Apply and then Ok.
6. Now double click on the setup file to initiate the install.
